RailEasy is an impartial service that provides rail tickets for travel within the UK and aims to the best find fares to suit the needs of the buyer. Wherever possible, customers are encouraged to buy tickets on a Ticket on Departure (TOD) basis. This allows you to collect your ticket at your convenience anytime before the travel date. This minimises the risk of losing or misplacing one’s ticket before the journey. Most passengers pick up their tickets on the day of their journey, just before boarding the train.
TOD Machines can be found in over 400 stations around the UK. The ticket collection machines are clearly marked out and quite easy to use. At the time of booking, you are given an 8 digit ticket collection reference number. A copy of this reference number is also emailed to you. At the time of ticket collection, the reference number must be entered into the machine. It is also necessary to have the credit/debit card that was used to book the ticket. The card also needs to be put into the TOD machine for identification purposes.
If you choose not to use a TOD machine or in case of stations that do not have TOD machines, RailEasy sends tickets to customers by First Class Post. It takes 5 days for tickets to reach by post after booking. |

Disabled Passenger Information
With UK train operating companies assistance arrangements can be made for disabled passengers. Assistance can usually be arranged for train operating staff to meet you at your departure station, accompany you to the train and see you safely on board. Similar arrangements can be made at your destination station and other stations if you need to change trains. For example, ramps can be provided for wheelchair users.
